Helping the professional excel
You can’t perform at your peak in a high-pressure professional career if you neglect your body.
The connection between mind and body is undeniable. When you’re in shape, you think and perform better—you’re sharper. But don’t just “stay in shape” by hitting the treadmill a few times a week when you can truly hone your performance with the kind of intense martial arts training Sensei provides. Professionals from surgeons to salespeople to attorneys to entrepreneurs can improve their career through martial arts study.
Helping the serious martial arts student
Sensei trains serious martial arts students to perform at their peak. He works with them to line out their objectives so that they can be their best, become blackbelts, or achieve other goals.
Helping anyone who wants to be better at what they do
Sensei trains the student who wants to delve deeply into martial arts or the student who needs a boost of self-confidence. He helps people from every walk of life learn confidence and a new way of thinking and doing. He trains adults, children, and teenagers to perform better in their daily lives.
Helping the athlete gain a competitive advantage
The athlete may want to gain extra balance and flexibility to take his or her game to the next level. Sensei helps athletes achieve more than they could with a conventional workout because martial arts trains a balance of body and mind. Sensei’s training helps athletes in sports from basketball to golf perform better while learning valuable martial arts skills.
On the road
Sensei Pacer travels with his clients and can provide training sessions on the road, along with other traveling services. See “Sensei Pacer on the Road” for more details.
At your home
Many of Sensei’s clients feel more comfortable training at their homes in a personalized setting that allows them to maximize their time and spend valuable time with their families rather than commuting. Sensei provides training for individuals or for groups or two at clients’ homes. This may require that you equip your home gym with certain equipment as specified.
At your office
Busy professionals sometimes prefer to train at their offices rather than travel during the day and bring Sensei in for lessons during their lunchtimes (a great way to spend an hour rather than eating!). Clients may schedule multiple lessons during a visit.
At Sensei’s dojo
Sensei Pacer’s dojo is everything you could ask for: private, personal, and well equipped to help clients who prefer to work out there get the most from their training time. You won’t be crowded into a room with a dozen others. It’s personal, one to one training that helps you fast-track to better performance.
Training Goals
Self Improvement
Sensei Pacer helps people be the best at what they do—whether they are professionals, students, athletes, or martial artists. He has a way of merging life goals with fitness, martial arts and training to design a program that works best for his clients. He doesn’t believe in rigid martial arts programs that don’t take the individual into account. It’s all about the client’s needs, not ancient steps toward colored belts.
Fitness
Fitness training and martial arts are one of the most effective combinations imaginable. Add weight and cardio training to martial arts and you have a regimen that is the best of all worlds. It helps you lean up, build muscle, build tone, and improve physical performance.
Self Defense
“Most people,” explains Sensei Pacer, “will not run into a situation where they will have to physically defend themselves in their adult lives.” Of those who do, it will be a once in a lifetime situation. But the confidence Pacer’s martial arts training provides can be very valuable in those infrequent situations.
Different kinds of people will train different ways. Part of Pacer’s unique approach is to help identify the right approach to self-defense. Men and women train differently, with different outcomes in mind. Is it more desirable to win a fight, or escape? Some clients need to get into better shape before real martial arts training can begin. Children might need confidence, balance and control training. Some clients might need a “mental awakening” through martial arts exercise—punches, kicks, and throws that help them sharpen their focus and boost self esteem.
